  Jesus caused the lame to walk, the blind to see, and the deaf to hear. Since the pharisees and chief leaders feared they would be put out of business because of this Jesus and His miracles, signs, and wonders, they sought to kill Him. Did they, in actuality, kill Him? No, but He laid down His life. He could of had thousands upon thousands of angels to come rescue Him but chose to die for you and I. The bible says in Mark 16:17-18 KJV
  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; [18] They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So like the religious leaders of old that were threatened of Jesus' miraculous signs that followed Him, we are also feared because of our demonstrations of the Spirit of God and power!
